We are currently recruiting volunteers – could this be you…

We have four opportunities for you to get involved with:

  1. Community Lunch Volunteer – Saturdays couldn’t be more rewarding! You’ll be bringing much needed company and connection to our members by helping with preparing, serving lunch and chatting with our members at our Centre.
    1. 1st Saturday of the month between the hours of 9.30 am -2.30 pm

      Prep/support chef with getting Community lunch ready

      Maintain covid-safety and Food Hygiene at all times

      Tea and Natter with our members, serving them tea and smiles

      Set, Serve and Clear tables and the main hall before and after each sitting

      Keep members smiling!

  2. Befriender Volunteer: Telephone (remote) OR Home Visits (in person) – in your spare time, after being matched with an isolated member, you’ll provide a link to the outside world by being a friendly voice on the phone or face at their home once a week, bringing smiles and laughter all round.

      Flexible around your schedule

      Chat as you would a friend

      Telephone or Home Visit at least once a week

      Maintain covid-safety whether at a ember’s home or in the Centre

      Reliable and dependable are key along with a good sense of humour

  3. Volunteer Centre Assistant – Volunteering at least on weekday a week Warmly welcoming our members to the centre, helping with queries and directing to the various activities, this is an active and varied role where no two days are the same!
    1. Mondays – Fridays between the hours of 9.30 am – 5.00 pm (am or pm)

      Meet & Greet, directing to activities, meetings etc.

      Maintain covid safety throughout the Centre

      Supporting staff as needed

      Reliable, dependable and a good sense of humour

      Split shifts on request

  4. Tech Buddy – Thursdays and/or Saturdays you’ll be helping members get savvy using their smart phones, tablets and tech. This could be anything from helping sending emails to installing apps.
    1. Thursdays between the hours of 12.30 pm – 4.30 pm (30-60 min sessions) and/OR

      1st Saturday of each month 10 am – 12.00 pm (30-60 min sessions)

      Using apps/software/smart phones/ laptops/ Tech/online shopping/text etc.

      Maintain covid safety

      Reliable, patient and approachable

      Keep members smiling and tech savvy
