Children’s Services notice
Our Stay and play drop-ins are now running on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays with limited numbers, first come first served. While we have limited numbers we are only opening to families, and unfortunately can’t cater for childminders/nannies at this time. We do look forward to increasing capacity over the coming months. Soft Play Drop-Ins
Our popular soft-play drop-ins run three days a week for different age ranges. There is no charge for the drop-in’s, however donations are welcome.The drop-in gives children an opportunity to learn, socialise and develop essential skills. Activities in the drop-in reflect recommendations from the government’s Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and include a toddler gym where children can run around and use lots of energy, baby areas and other activities such as a reading corner, art activities and story and song time session. They also offer a great opportunity for local parents to come together and meet others in their area.
PLEASE NOTE – Parents must stay with their children during drop-ins.
Our Creche is a purpose built space with a small outside play area and offers a safe and stimulating environment for local children to play and learn. Each session has 11 places and children are allocated two afternoons a week. Sessions cost £3.50, or as a concession for low income families, £2. The creche is very popular and as places are limited there is currently a waiting list. If you wish your child to go on the waiting list call into the centre. Each term there is topic based learning, this has included transport, ourselves, our families and our community and celebrations of different cultures, for example Chinese New Year and Christmas.
